Better Idea Holding Company

Better Idea Holding Company (BIHC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in the Near Eastside of Indianapolis that supports community-led ideas, projects, and initiatives that advance social good. BIHC serves as an incubator and fiscal sponsor for emerging efforts, helping individuals and organizations access resources, build capacity, and transform promising ideas into sustainable community impact.

Current Initiatives

Community Data & Public Information Fund: Supports public-interest data tools, research, and information resources, including the Indy Housing Project Eviction Dashboard and Great Lakes Community Review Board.Storytelling and Remembering Fund: Supports storytelling, oral and visual history, and community remembrance projects, including Beyond These Gates and other initiatives preserving community memory.
